FAQ
Frequently Asked Question
Do you require a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
You can select any quantity for any custom size but our min order is 100 usd!
All orders have Free Shipping and delivery time is 5 Business days!
Want a specific amount? Click “Choose a custom quantity” when ordering to specify exactly how many labels you need.
What types of print files do you accept?
We support several common image formats, which include:
– JPG
– GIF
– PNG
– TIFF
– EPS
– PSD
– AI
We prefer AI (Adobe Illustrator) vector files for their flexibility and editability by our design team. EPS and SVG files are also excellent choices for print-ready vector files. If those aren’t options for you, high-resolution raster images (300 DPI or higher) are also acceptable.
PLEASE keep in mind that the quality of your file will affect the quality of the label.
Is printing with white ink available for sheet labels?
We do not offer white ink printing for sheet labels. For designs requiring a white appearance, we can leave areas of your artwork unprinted, which will show the white material of the label itself.
But for Digital Printing technology White Ink is available. Please check with your representative with your files.
For essential uses of white ink, consider our custom printed roll labels as viable alternatives.
What is a digital proof?
A digital proof is a digital preview of how your artwork will look once it is printed on your selected label. Think of it as your artwork’s final review opportunity. You will receive a digital proof to ensure everything is perfect before we proceed with printing. Our team, unlike automated services, manually reviews and sends proofs, working closely with you to adjust any details as necessary.
Digital proofs also include any necessary alerts about potential issues with your design, along with a view of the safe zone and cut line to ensure your design is positioned correctly.
You’ll receive your digital proof via email within one business day of placing your order, and we recommend reviewing it on a desktop or laptop for clarity. Approval of this proof is required before printing can begin.
When can I expect my order to ship?
The shipping schedule depends on the specific items and quantities ordered. For custom label, our typical turnaround is 4 business days post-proof approval.
Should your order include multiple products, the overall turnaround will align with the item requiring the longest production time.
Can I modify my order after it’s been placed?
Changes are possible but timing is crucial. If you need to make modifications, please inform us before the digital proof process begins. Reach out to our Client Services Team by email support@customdesignlabels.com during our business hours from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM EST, Monday to Friday.
Please be aware that changes may affect production times and potentially delay your order.
What’s the estimated delivery time for printed labels?
Our standard production timeline for custom labels is 5 business days following proof approval. We work with DHL, FEDEX and UPS so online tracking is possible with the link we will provide after your order is shipped.
Do you offer color matching?
Yes, you can request specific colors to be printed by providing the Pantone code with your artwork. Color matching is conducted on a best-effort basis, influenced by the chosen printing method. For stringent color matching, a hard copy proof might be required before full production commences. This will affect production times and delivery time of your order. We will need to wait for your hard copy to reach us. And in this case there will be an extra cost of shipping for the sample.
How do I choose the right label size?
The best label size depends on your specific needs. If uncertain, try wrapping a paper around your product or cutting it to size to visualize what works best for your application.
Which material should I choose for durability and outdoor use?
For durable labels, especially for outdoor applications, our roll label materials, particularly the BOPP options, are ideal as they come laminated, offering extra protection against environmental elements.
Where should I send updated artwork files?
Please send any updated artwork files, along with your order number, to printing@customdesignlabels.com.
What does ‘versions’ mean in the context of printing?
‘Versions’ refer to the different designs or variations of artwork you want printed, with each unique design being considered one ‘version’ but the sizes MUST be the same.
Why hasn’t my order shipped in 2 days despite choosing 2-day shipping?
2-day shipping refers to the transit time, not the production time. Our standard production time for custom orders is 4 business days, and for blank labels, it varies between 1-3 business days. Reviewing and approving your proof promptly will help avoid delays.
Where are your facilities located?
We have been continuing production in the same location for many years in a 2000 square meter indoor area. We are located within IMES, one of the largest industrial zones in Istanbul.
